Optimizing for SKUs - Maximum Conversion

Q: What do you do if your conversion rate is lower than you’d like?
A: Get incredibly qualified traffic to your site.

One of the most overlooked optimization tips is using the product brand name and model number in the title AND description. By also having those in the URL, the image path, and including a UPC you’ve created some very relevant listings that will most likely rank at the top for those coveted “I’m ready to buy - who’s taking my money” customers.

I’ve seen time and time again where someone will literally search, click on the listing, add to cart, and then straight off to checkout. Using onebox listings for those end of cycle phrases when someone has already decided what they’re buying will cause immediate sales. No conversion analysis by The Grok necessary.

If you’re not one willing to do much testing, then this would be the fast approach. Not much thought is necessary when all you’ve got is a brand and sku to optimize for. If you’re ready to get more in-depth, then I’ve got plenty of more tips for you coming yet.
